Tarot Card 08:17
Tarot Card The night has wrapped her strong arms around me, the deep nothingness of sleep holds and surrounds me. I am wondering at the edge of dream and reality with what I have of love and what love has of me. The black night becomes a luminescent blue. The fading dark becomes light as I pass through the shroud of morning’s twilight zone. I still feel your kiss, though I’m travelling alone. In a dream… I scale the wall of a fortress, I slay the dragon guard, I elude the demons of a sorcerer, I draw the tarot card marked love… The doors to my heart are once again open. The pain of a heart so close to broken. I throw a pebble in the endless ocean and draw the tarot card marked love. I throw a pebble into the endless ocean, the planet’s turning towards a reddening sky. A thousand voices, the horrible commotion of war is burning, while you and I seek love. I ride the waters of a river overflowing. I feel the touch of a child’s trusting hand. I ride the rocket of my life without knowing if this speed-of-light vehicle will ever land. I watch the miracle of birds in flight. I dream the sound of my unborn daughter’s voice. This summer day melts into the soothing night. I have learned the wisest choice… is to embrace the embrace of love. I walk the edge of an early morning ocean, bathed in the dance of it’s shimmering light. I hear the drums and the rhythms of devotion, I feel my blood flowing in the silence of night. I cross the desert’s sand and it’s incessant heat. I am lost and found and more that ready to meet, more than ready to, more than ready to meet my maker… as I draw the tarot card marked love. The doors to my heart are once again open. The pain of a heart so close to broken. I throw a pebble in the endless ocean and draw the tarot card marked love. I ride the ride of my life to and from the gates of hell, I light the fires of my life and I rise up to tell of my survival and my reclamation by love, because we’re only as high as what we rise above. The night has wrapped her strong arms around me, the deep nothingness of sleep holds and surrounds me. I am wondering at the edge of dream and reality with what I have of love and what love has of me. The black night becomes a luminescent blue. about

A live-in-the-studio, red-hot, way-cool, free-flow fusion of World Music, Jazz, and Spoken Word. Musicians from Senegal, Guinee, Ethiopia and America create some distinctive flavors and great chemistry.

Rhythm and Flow is the third recording in the "rhythm trilogy" that includes "Rhythm Mission" and "Rhythm Griots." It's a look into how this ensemble has evolved and changed over two decades, and how this evolution has changed the music.

about

Tony Vacca Massachusetts

Tony Vacca has become a true “rhythm nomad,” incorporating a world of percussion music and instruments to create something… all his own.

Over the course of his career he has made a habit of pushing the already adventurous conventions of World Music into new territory, both as a soloist and as the leader of his World Rhythms Ensemble.
